The Albury artist will open her studio and home to the public across two weekends, showcasing the largest exhibition of her work yet.
“Upstairs will be my bigger works and this year I’m opening up downstairs with smaller work and mixed mediums and genres,” she said.
“My house was purpose-built for me to act as a gallery too – there’s mosaics and sculptures and people enjoy walking around to look at the outdoor art as well.”
Jakovac said more than 40 works up to 20 years old would be showcased.
“It’s the first year I’m putting everything out on display … to see such a collection of original work doesn’t happen everyday,” she said.
“Every painting tells a story – I like talking to people about that story.
“I’m proud of my art because I know how much work goes into it.”
From 10am to 5pm both days this weekend and next, the 329 Wirraway Street home will be open.
