Volunteers will receive free cleaning materials, paint, safety equipment and training to remove graffiti safely from city locations.
A partnership between the Rotary Club of Albury Hume, Albury Council and the NSW government, the day aims to reduce a problem that costs millions of dollars each year statewide.
Rotarian Terry Simmonds said his club had taken part in the campaign for five years.
“You look around and see the tags and the rubbish ...and it’s just not pretty,” he said.
Albury mayor Kevin Mack said removing the vandalism acted as a deterrent to offenders, but people should report it to police first.
He called for workers to join Sunday’s efforts to reduce graffiti.
“If you’re sick of looking at it, you should do something about it,” Cr Mack said.
To register on the day, meet at 10am outside the council offices, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury.
