NSW Fair Trading will host the free two-hour seminar, which is aimed at owners, tenants and strata managers wishing to learn more about the new legislation.
The NSW Parliament made more than 90 alterations to modernise strata laws in 2015 and these will come into operation on November 30.
Topics to be covered at the Border event include complying with the new laws, modern and flexible strata schemes, stronger accountability for strata managers and caretakers and collective sale and renewal.
Other areas for discussion will be maintaining the building’s condition, owner renovations, proxy voting, by-laws, tenant participation, levies, common property and dispute resolution.
Fair Trading said NSW had more than 75,000 strata schemes worth $350 billion in assets.
The Albury session begins at 5.30pm at the Commercial Club, 618 Dean Street. More information is available on the Fair Trading website.
