Incident controller, Rob Chalwell, said 250 Department of Sustainability and Environment, CFA and interstate firefighters would be burning out areas of unburnt land within the current control lines of the Beechworth fire.
"Crews will continue to take advantage of stable weather conditions to maintain control lines and limit the spread of the fire," Mr Chalwell said.
"The fire is burning within the containment lines and is not spreading.
"There are no urgent threat messages in place at the moment for the Beechworth fire."
Two community meetings will be held tomorrow at the Beechworth Town Hall at 10.30am and at the Savoy Club, Myrtleford at 1pm.
