FRIDAY'S Fashions on the Field might become a showcase of the best of the recently concluded spring carnival.

And with a perfect spring day on the cards, fashion co-ordinator Sarah Crothers said she was expecting plenty of colour to go with the sunshine.

“We're expecting lost of colour, lots of embellished arms on dresses and a lot of co-ordination,” she said.

“Some of the ladies will have been planning their outfits for three or four months, there are local milliners who will match dyes and fabrics.”

Registrations will be open for Fashions on the Field from 12 noon, with judging to come at 2:15pm.

There will be a tent next to the fashions area for The Border Mail's Style Stakes – have your photo taken and cast your vote for the fashion frontrunner.
