Albury’s Daniel Finnimore won the second highest slalom division at the event – an incredible effort considering he is only 10 years of age.
Other Border competitors to stand out included Grace Butlin, who her division, while Mitchell Laws won the slalom division he was entered in.
Wagga’s Mitch Barber claimed the open slalom title.
Another highlight from the event was the return of Brodie Godde to water skiing after suffering a broken leg on the water two years ago.
Albury Wodonga Water Ski Club (AWWSC) president David Finnimore paid special tribute to tournament director Jenny Butlin, Malibu Boats for donating two TXi ski boats to be used during the event, as well as Wodonga Council for renovating the club’s kitchen in time to cater for the event.
The next local event will be held on January 28.
