After losing their first four rubbers, Pat Parnell claimed a dominant singles rubber with Brendan Hoffman, Brett Kohlhagen, Zac Smith and Parnell then combining brilliantly to dominate the doubles before securing a three-game salute.
Three of the four tight sets went the way of Forrest Hill Wombats in their narrow victory over Forrest Hill Diggers.
Gary Graetz, Peter Simpson, Chris Wood and Neil van der Geest all contributed while Alison Tinworth and Sabastian Blac performed strongly for Diggers.
A fine team effort by Joel Schoff, Rory Parnell, Dolen Vogel and Tony Grigg gave SPD a six sets to two victory over Thurgoona Sharks.
Peter Penny and Paul Crane both claimed singles rubbers for the losers.
In the remaining match, Wodonga Bushrangers had all the answers against Albury.
A big day out by Chris Jones gave Glenly a four sets to two edge over Uiver Park in the best of section two ladies action.
Sue Carlin, Leonie Hodges and Maggie Brawn also played a role with Cassie King a two set winner for Uiver Park.
Wodonga Diamonds and SPD were untroubled in their dominate victories over Scots Black and Forrest Hill respectively.
The best match in section three ladies was the clash between Wodonga Aces and SPD Pink.
Three sets from Ellie O’Neil, with support from Sophie Ebert, Jorja Anderson and Georgia McIntosh, helped Aces to a 4-2 triumph with Carol Mildren best for SPD.
