High Street shop, aZesty Health, planned to open as usual on Tuesday following a long weekend spent cleaning up after part of its ceiling fell in.
“To put a monetary figure on it at this stage is a little bit hard; to put the total clean-up on there, we’re looking in the thousands,” owner Esther Clark said on Monday.
She thanked those who stepped in to assist on Friday.
“To have that immediate help on hand was a major saviour,” Ms Clark said.
“Without that there would have been astronomical stock losses, that’s for sure.
“It’s just amazing; the willingness and generosity of strangers to just offer a hand was just lovely.”
