Made up of Kiwi brothers Zech and Eze Walters on guitar and vocals, with Bowen Purcell on percussion, the band had its genesis in Yarrawonga.
Eze was enjoying Lake Mulwala in the lead up to show on Thursday.
“We love playing Wodonga and Albury,” he said.
“We’re actually originally from Yarrawonga.
“I loved it, we only lived here about four or five years.
“Zech and I were originally from New Zealand and moved to Yarra with our family, where we met Bowen, who’s lived here his whole life.
“It’s an absolute stunner, spent a lot of summers by the lake and a lot of winters doing a bit of hunting.
“It’s cool because it’s a country town but in the holidays it gets busy, you get the best of both worlds.”
Since forming in 2011 Woodlock has landed big gigs such as the Falls Festival at Lorne, and will now headline Friday’s on My Mind at The Cube which starts at 5.30pm.
“We’ve been in the process of releasing some singles, writing a bit of music and doing some small tours,” Eze said.
"Our music tends to change quite a lot with what we're listening to, but it's always got that base root, which is our lyrics and melody and stuff like that.
"Me and my brother, we do most of the writing. We start off something by ourselves and then come together and finish it, that's probably how we get our different sound, because my brother has his influences on the music, and I have mine."
Catering for different ages and interests, the event will also feature wine tasting and muscat cocktails, an art activity with a seascape sculpture, mini-golf in the auditorium and free shoulder massages.
In Wodonga Library, patrons can fly to Neverland and follow the journey of Peter Pan.
And in Arts Space Wodonga, visitors can browse the delicate sketches in the Drawing the Labyrinth exhibition while listening to light, relaxing music. Food from various cuisines and drinks will again be on sale in the courtyard under the picturesque marquees.
Fridays on My Mind are free events with music and entertainment at The Cube Wodonga Courtyard and surrounding venues, with activities for the whole family in Arts Space Wodonga and Wodonga Library.
More than 4000 people enjoyed the festivities throughout the inaugural 2014-2015 season.
