The man, aged in his 20s, was injured at the Mystic Mountain Bike Park on Sunday afternoon.
Several people helped the rider after the incident, which occured about 1.20am.
He was taken to the Bright football ground before being airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said he had leg, chest and collarbone injuries.
