Albury Gold and Albury Blue will play at under 17 level on Tuesday night at JC King Park.
Nikita Singe played in Albury Gold’s winning team last year in the under 19s, and has since been selected in the Victorian state team.
“The players that move through this are on the radar, if you like, with the potential to reach the elite level,” Dalton said.
This year’s matches will be held in Albury and Wangaratta.
Each region plays a round robin series, with the winners from the various groups to contest the Victorian League premiership in Melbourne.
The RVNL was established in 2007 and introduced to Goulburn-North East four years later.
