Lachlan Rowing was good early, while Andrew Healy and Brock Dixon did enough in the deciding doubles to force the draw.
Wodonga Bulldogs scored an impressive come from behind salute over leaders St Patricks-Diggerville (SPD).
Graham Hawkins and Doug Smith scraped through in a doubles tie break, with Terry McLean’s singles effort sealing a four-game victory.
Trey Murphy, Issac Dallinger and Leon Hemmings all contributed for SPD.
An undefeated Marcus Busch was key in Forest Hill Blues’ four sets to two triumph over Eagles.
Graham Wurtz and Scott Stoll also lent a hand with Cam Scholz claiming two sets for his team.
In the ladies, Glenda Martin impressed in Wodonga Dodgers’ four sets to two defeat of Thurgoona Slammers.
Sarah Coleman, Sue Harper and Ash Craven also played well, with Tricia Baldwin best for Slammers.
Forest Hill and Wodonga Larrikins recorded strong victories over Thurgoona Jade and TAGS, respectively.
The best of section two men was the battle between Forest Hill Blues and Thurgoona Sharks, with the Blues winning five sets to three.
Peter Murphy was unbeaten for the afternoon, with strong support from Harry, Peter and Jack Penny.
Paul Cranne was the Sharks’ best.
The experienced Wodonga Bushrangers line-up of John McVean, Brett Robertson, Mark Neil and Steve O’Connell all fired against SPD.
A strong Albury outfit scored a comfortable win over Forest Hill Wombats, with Forest Hill Diggers too good for Sacred Heart.
In the ladies, a strong start by Wodonga Diamonds handed it an eight-game victory over SPD White.
Sandra Langford, Lyn Aylmore, Di McAuliffe and Jen Carey all played a role, with Kerry Grigg and Tracey Parnell two set winners for White, while Glenly outplayed Forest Hill.
Wodonga Pirates and SPD Blue’s match stood out in section three men.
Three dominant sets by Jack Morrison, Jim Lannan and Leigh Gadd gave Pirates a five-game buffer.
In the ladies, Scots Blue finished ahead four sets to two over Wodonga Aces.
Bree Poole claimed three sets, supported by Ellen Ring, Ally Gardiner and Alice O’Reilly.
In section six men, Albury Cats defeated Albury Hawks.
Junior coaching and pennant continues at the grasscourts on Saturday with registration from 9.15am for a 9.30am start.
