Riverina TAFE Institute National Environment Centre head teacher Rob Fenton said highlighting the dumping issue last year along with new council signage had brought some improvement.
“But in the last couple of months it’s all gone backwards again, if anything it’s probably worse,” he said.
The waste could cause farm contamination issues and harm habitats for woodland birds, squirrel gilders and Sloane’s froglets.
Two separate piles of tyres are included among the general rubbish present.
“These aren’t just little basic car tyres, these are fairly big tyres, most of them, so someone’s taking the easy way out for getting rid of them,” Mr Fenton said. “I’m not sure that awareness is now the issue. There’s obviously people that are happy to break the law to avoid paying whatever the costs are to get rid of their waste, so it’s a problem. It’s not just an aesthetic thing, it’s got some significant impacts.”
