Colleen Balfour opened the first Salts of the Earth NSW franchise in Olive Street in 2014 after seeking a natural therapy to help her husband’s severe asthma symptoms.
“I nearly lost my husband Andrew to a severe asthma attack,” she said.
“At his worse he had 7 per cent oxygen in his system and the doctors even today cannot explain how he is still alive.
“So we started to research what was out there to help him on a ongoing basis and came across Salts of the Earth. We tried it, and loved it, and Andrew has never been better.”
Mrs Balfour said hundreds of people in the community who suffered from respiratory and skin conditions might benefit from salt therapy.
“I am so excited to represent Albury at the Franchise Council of Australia awards.”
She is one of four NSW finalists selected by the Franchise Council of Australia.
The winner will be announced on Monday.
