Northern Victoria MLA Jaclyn Symes said reconfiguring three five-carriage trains into four four-carriage trains would allow one to be kept in reserve in case something goes wrong.
“Our multi-million dollar carriage upgrade will make the journey more comfortable for local passengers, and mean they are on trains instead of coaches more often,” she said.
