The main street within Kiewa Valley Estate which will see Tangambalanga's population eventually double in size when completed will be known as the Gibson Boulevard.
Developers Andrew and Jenny Stern also have approval from Indigo Shire for two other streets named after Hollywood stars, Toni Collette and the late Rod Taylor.
Gibson's links to the Kiewa Valley date back to the mid-1980s when he bought a property in Gundowring which was later demolished by new owners and its replacement sold late last year for more than $5 million.
Other Aussie movie stars, Nicole Kidman, Paul Hogan, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman, Rachel Griffiths, Errol Flynn, Sam Worthington and Guy Pearce, will also have streets named after them subject to council approval.
The Sterns named streets in Riverside Estate after Olympians including golden girl, Stephanie Rice.
