The 25-year-old has booted 119 goals in his last two seasons and received plenty of interest from a host of Ovens and King, Ovens and Murray and Tallangatta League clubs.
Chiltern coach Brent Newton is delighted to have Hooper on board.
“Nathan’s a good mate and I have played a lot of football with him over the years at Wangaratta Magpies and then at Milawa, where we played in a premiership together,” he said.
Former Wodonga Raiders midfielder Danyl Woods has also landed at Chiltern and will add an extra element to the Swans’ engine room.
“Danyl will play a vital role in our midfield and his inclusion along with Nathan will be great attacking weapons for us,” Newton said.
The Swans will play the first of two practice matches this weekend against RWW Giants at Rand.
