A DOMINANT final rubber by Scott Howsam and Will Davison saw Albury defeat Forrest Hill Swans by four games in section five at Albury Grasscourts on Saturday.

Rupert Freeman lent good support while Junior Turton was best for Swans.

Scots Navy weathered the storm against St Patricks/Diggerville White in a competitive 5 sets to 1 victory.

Alan Huang and Ben McKenna were in good touch for the winners while Ethan Wenzke and Reece Filliponi claimed a set for White.

In section one ladies, Wodonga Tigers powered home claiming the final three stanzas and the points against club mates Dodgers.

Jenny Wiltshire was in outstanding form with support from Emily Price, Marg Leddin and Sue Dickens with Anna Fogarty a two-set winner for Dodgers.

Wodonga Larrikins withstood a strong challenge from Thurgoona Jade before completing a 5 sets to 1 triumph.

Forrest Hill continued on their merry way, with a comprehensive win over Thurgoona Slammers.

Singles victories in tie breaks to David Lake and Scott Stolle helped Forrest Hill Blues navigate their way past Forrest Hill Eagles in a hard fought section one men’s clash.

Marcus Busch also played well in the 5 – 1 victory with Matthew Paull and Cameron Scholz grabbing a doubles rubber for Eagles.

Zac Burhop and Isaac Dallinger stole tie break singles wins in SPD’s 5 sets to 1 salute over Wodonga Bulldogs.

Thurgoona, with Brock Dixon and Aaron Breust firing, defeated Galahs.
