Corowa and District Landcare will host Energy Options for the Murray Region to explore energy needs for businesses and industry as well as renewable energy options.
Regional Development Australia – Murray chief executive Gary Saliba said secure energy supplies were essential for business growth.
“We need effective and reliable energy because businesses are constrained by access to energy; regional development depends on business growth,” he said.
The forum would cover solar power, geothermal heating and cooling, battery storage solutions and examples of Riverina farm businesses using renewable energy alternatives in their operations.
Rivalea and Federation Council will present case studies on local solutions to energy issues from 11am.
Participants can visit industry stands and displays and bring an energy bill for a free energy assessment.
The forum at Corowa Golf Club starts at 8.15am.
