Wodonga Council will mark the first anniversary of the Promenade on Friday – the strip’s staple dining destinations will put on a show joining pop-ups from Miss Naked Cakes, Andiamo, wineries and more.
BeanStation Cafe head chef Casey Durham said it was a celebration of the changing face of the CBD.
“It’s the anniversary of the new area in Junction Place, which is now such a food mecca of Wodonga,” he said.
“It’s been a whirlwind, and now with Miss Amelie and the Goods Shed, it’s just crazy.”
Finger-food including pizza, deep-fried wontons, Milawa cheese boards and arancini balls will be on offer.
Miss Amelie owner and chef David Kapay will be running an oyster bar.
“I’ll be shucking oysters and we’re going to do some garlic prawns and family-friendly stuff,” he said.
“Still so many customers can’t believe what’s happening to the area.
“It’s great for Wodonga and it can only get better.”
Party on the Promenade will run from 5pm to 8pm.
