When Combaning’s Jane Booker half-heatedly submitted an entry into Sunrise’s Cash Cow competition on Wednesday morning, she would never have entertained the possibility of ending the day $30,000 richer.

Yet when the former Cootamundra resident received an official call to congratulate her on her good fortune and winnings, Mrs Booker was exactly that.
“It’s totally surreal – it definitely hasn’t sunk in yet,” Mrs Booker said.
The mother of two was the sole recipient of the $30,000 prize and is still coming to grips with her good fortune.
However, Mrs Booker intends to donate a portion of her winnings to the Newborn Emergency Transport Service, known as NETS.
“NETS is a truly incredible service and the people are just fantastic,” Mrs Booker said.
“My daughter, Zoe, required their services when she was just three months old and they flew her all the way to Sydney.
“It’s comforting to know that their assistance is available out here where medical attention and aid is usually less accessible.”
