The Press Room Wine Bar will host Mixology – The Art of Great Cocktails on May 19 as part of the High Country Harvest festival.
Owners Heather and Michael Allen said they were tapping into the on-trend art of cocktail making.
Ms Allen said participants would make three cocktails using different methods.
“It will be a fun, hands-on night where people can learn about techniques and flavours,” she said.
“We’ll be talking people through flavour matches and what you need to develop the palate through different combinations.”
Having bought the Beechworth premises sight-unseen three years ago, Mr and Ms Allen offer a Spanish-style tapas menu.
They will offer tapas dishes during the Mixology workshop.
“The Press Room creates conversation; that’s what eating and drinking is all about,” Ms Allen said.
The Mixology class starts at 7pm and bookings are essential.
