Wicked is the untold story of the witches of OZ – the very popular blonde girl Glinda and the misunderstood Elphaba.
It is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Winnie Holzman.
After Elphaba’s very public fall from grace, Glinda becomes the good witch of the North.
Glinda is played by Border actress and singer Venetia Heath.
Her recent theatre credits include leading roles in Annie and Sweeney Todd with LIVID Productions.
She's also a regular at Albury's Music in the Park.
Venetia is a singing teacher and studying a Bachelor of Music.
She is thrilled to be playing the role of Glinda and is looking forward to flying back and forth across the stage in a large bubble, which will leave the audience’s mesmerized.
Wicked will be staged with four evening performances on Wednesday, May 17, Thursday 18, Friday 19, Saturday 20 and two matinees performances on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May 2017 at the Albury Entertainment Centre.
Tickets are now available at the Albury Entertainment Centre box office on (02) 6043 5610 or website.
