The Panthers trail the bottom two in Corowa-Rutherglen and North Albury for most goals after half-time, with only Rovers (17) below them from four games.
Lavington has kicked only 19, with 14 against the Roos.
“I didn’t know the exact stats, but that is a bit of a concern, it says we’re falling away a bit,” captain Luke Garland said.
“I definitely don’t think it’s a fitness or physical thing, it’s definitely all in our heads.
“I just think we take our foot off the gas a little bit in terms of structure.”
Garland has been named for his first game since April 8, where he injured his hamstring early against the Roos.
Tom Hargreave will also return after missing two matches with a calf complaint.
Lavington is coming off one of its most disappointing losses.
Myrtleford trailed by 39 points at half-time, but then stormed home, keeping the Panthers goalless.
“We let it slip against Myrtleford, so we’ve definitely got a point to prove,” Garland said.
The Panthers are clinging to a spot in the five on percentage after the losses to the Saints and Wangaratta.
Rovers, meantime, scored their first win with a thumping against the Roos.
Dylan Wilson was dynamic, kicking a career-high six goals, while Sean O’Keeffe, who turns 36 on Wednesday, again displayed his class.
