A pop-up ice-skating rink will operate in the village during the July school holidays.
Alpine Shire marketing and events officer, Dinner Plain, Alia Parker said the new attraction would be at Dinner Plain Showgum Tennis Courts.
“We’ll have a pop-up rink for nine days straight in the school holidays from July 8 to 16,” she said.
“There will be eight, 45-minute sessions a day starting on the hour from midday to 7pm.”
Ice skates and penguins (to help young children learn to skate) will be available for hire at the rink.
Ms Parker said other new attractions at Dinner Plain this year included Alpine Laser Skirmish.
Founders of Howling Husky Sled Dog Tours will offer laser skirmish in the snow under the Great Alpine Adventures banner.
With three people a team, laser skirmish will be offered year-round and throughout the snow season.
