TWO Albury fire stations will be open to the public on Saturday, with families encouraged to attend.

The Albury Civic and Albury North brigades will be open from 10am to 2pm.

Civic station commander John Vandeven said it was a good opportunity for people to see what firefighters do and learn about fire prevention.

“With winter coming, (the) open day is also a great opportunity to talk to the experts about replacing smoke alarms,” he said.

The brigades are on Kiewa Street and Kaitlers Road.
