The lightly-built forward was superb in the 21.15 (141) to 7.7 (49) win.
“To get away with five goals, it could have been a couple more, but he added some real speed and goalkicking ability to the forward line,” coach Leigh Corcoran said.
“That defensive pressure was there as well.”
The addition of the Tiwi Bomber, along with the imminent return of best and fairest runner-up Christian Burgess from VFL outfit Coburg and the successful return of Brady Sharp from a knee reconstruction, has generated a buzz after an inconsistent start.
“The team turned up on the day with the right attitude and right approach to the game we expect,” Corcoran said.
The Saints have split their eight games, so it’s certainly not season-deciding against a red-hot Wangaratta.
