“We played for all four quarters,” coach Dean Stone said.
“We defended well, our midfield was terrific and our forwards were great.”
Michael Newton grabbed the lead for the Doug Strang Medal, kicking six to take his tally to 34.
Frazer Dent also kicked six and was named best on ground, while the emerging Brad Melville landed three.
The Pies will now meet Myrtleford on Saturday.
