On a day that should be the celebration of Destiny Pink’s 16th birthday; the community will come together at a music showcase to remember the Pink children who lost their lives in a car accident last month.

Jack, Marina and Destiny Pink were travelling home from show in Dubbo on May 29, when their two vehicles were involved in a collision with a fuel-tanker at Boggabilla, NSW.
Their funerals are to be held on Thursday, June 8, at Canterbury College.
The Light It Up Pink movement started circulating on social media after news of the Pink children’s death broke on May 29.
Social media users were asked to apply a pink filter to their Facebook profiles, which then spurred family friend L-Jay Walters to take action by organising the Entertainment Extravaganza – Pink Family Charity Concert for June 18.

The music, food and fete festival will be held at the Village Green, Logan Village, from 11am until 3pm.
It will be a gold coin donation for entry and stalls will donate a percentage to the family.
“I really wanted to be able to help in some small way,” Ms Walters said. “I wanted to have a music concert for the kids and it turns out the date we picked will be Destiny’s birthday.
“It has become so much more than just a concert and I hope it will just help people gain some closure.”
Ms Walters said she did not expect to have so much support from locals.
“Something tragic has happened here and I think it is so great that the community have stood up said ‘we will help’,” she said.
“Not only are people donating to gofundme, but they are giving their time and their resources for us to be able to put the event together.
“We do need some more volunteers to help us on the day and if anyone would like to contribute with their services that would be appreciated.”
