The School of St Jude, which was founded by Australian woman Gemma Sisia in 2002, honoured 133 graduates in a ceremony last month. Mrs Sisia visited Beechworth in 2015 as part of an Australian tour to thank the individuals, businesses and community groups that have supported the school. St Jude’s began in Arusha with three pupils but now has 1800 primary and secondary students.
