After being stranded on 98 majors when last weekend’s under-17 clash was abandoned early in the final quarter due to a player injury, Hillary took just three minutes to bring up his century against the Cats.
The 15-year-old kicked his third and final goal of the day in the second term to take his season tally to 101 from 10 matches.
Hillary spent the second-half on the ball as the undermanned Roos lost by 11 points.
“He was pretty happy to get it out the way early,” Hillary’s father and coach, Ross, said.
“I think his teammates were as well.”
While the records are sketchy, Hillary’s century is one of the quickest in the country Victoria.
His cousin, Aaron Purcell, brought up his 100th goal in eight matches for Jerilderie in 2013 and went on to kick 222 majors for the season.
