NSW has six representatives in Darcy Melksham, Pat Parnell, Maclayn Hallows, Charlie Byrne, Lachie O’Connor and Josh Klemke.
Victoria will be represented by Elijah Hollands, the son of former Wodonga star Ben, and Elijah Amery, the younger brother of emerging Lavington forward Noah.
“It’s pretty exciting, it’s a pretty big honour, representing the State,” Elijah Amery said.
The 15-year-old plays under 16s for Lavington, as well as thirds.
He’s 178 centimetres and 67 kilograms and has tremendous praise for Hollands.
“He’s fantastic, he’s a big, tall fellow, takes good marks and is very athletic,” Amery said.
The two teams will meet on July 26, with an Australian team to be named after the week-long carnival to play in New Zealand next March.
Olivia Barber, Charlotte Beavan, Tayla Sanson and Zali Spencer were all named in the NSW girls’ team.
