The incident occurred about 8.45am on Tuesday.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics received a report of a car colliding with a pedestrian.
A 16-year-old girl was hit by the vehicle, but wasn't badly hurt.
A NSW Department of Education spokeswoman said the student had been heading to the school at the time.
“A student was struck by a car on the way to school today,” she said.
“Members of the community who witnessed the incident called emergency services.
“The incident was not serious and the student was taken home by their parent.”
It was unclear whether the driver was at fault or is likely to be charged.
