The Swans lead fourth-placed Border-Walwa by 15 per cent with two rounds remaining with the sides set to clash in next weekend’s final round.
Border-Walwa will have their work cut out against Corryong this weekend.
“It’s more about getting the home final for catering than the home ground advantage,” coach Gerard Midson said.
“We’re just trying to play four quarters at the moment and, if we do that, the rest should look after itself.
“We won’t be taking Tumbarumba lightly though.”
Federal played well in the first-half against Bullioh last weekend but fell away badly on the back of midfielder Hamish Clark’s sweeping role across half-back.
Ladder leader Bullioh should prove too strong for Cudgewa.
The Blues have struggled for consistency this season and will miss the finals for the first time since 2013.
