Forming a lethal two-pronged attack with Jordan Butts, the Bushrangers terrorised their opponents in the air to record one of their best wins of the season.
Wangaratta’s Joe Richards created havoc at ground level with four goals while Butts snared three.
“It was a really pleasing performance,” coach Leon Higgins said.
“I thought we controlled play well after quarter-time.
”Our two key forwards (Johnston and Butts) were probably our best two players and our forward-line functioned really well.
“We were consistent over the entire game with our forwards dominating.”
Henty’s Nick Murray impressed in defence for the Bushrangers.
They take on a struggling Greater Western Victoria Rebels in Melbourne next Sunday.
