Wangaratta’s Matt Kelly was reported by the umpire after he crashed into Wodonga’s Connor Brodie early in the final term.
He was sent from the field and didn’t return, given there were only 14 minutes left.
Brodie came off, but returned shortly after.
And North Albury’s Josh Lloyd will face the same charge of intentionally or carelessly making forceful contact, front-on, when that player has their head over the ball.
Lloyd was picked up by the video match review panel for his challenge on Lavington’s Sam Harris.
Both Wangaratta and North have this weekend off, due to the split round, so the tribunal won’t be held until Wednesday week, August 9.
Kelly’s case could, potentially, have an impact on the Morris Medal.
The tough Pies’ on-baller has had a superb year after overcoming injury in the club’s climb to second spot with 11 wins.
