Boomers’ defender Jenae Abel, who has been under an injury cloud of her own in recent weeks, revealed Parascos will require surgery after being taken from the field via ambulance against Albury City on July 30.
“She dislocated her knee and it’s still dislocated by two centimetres,” Abel said.
“There’s some bone floating around in there, so it will be season-ending.”
Abel has been restricted by a hamstring issue, but is a certain starter for Sunday’s clash with Albury United.
Soccer and Australian rules export Brea Quinlivan will be available for United for the rest of the season with her football commitments finished for the year.
“After the emotional week last week, we’ve got our heads high and we’ll just try to go in with a level head and play how we always play,” Quinlivan said.
“We’ve come a long way since we played them last.”
