They take on minor premiers Falcons in Sunday’s major semi-final for a spot in the decider.
Falcons have won all four meetings against Magpies this season, however, the last three clashes have only been by one goal.
Magpies’ coach Ben Martin admits his side must up its scoring power to be any chance.
“We’ve got to score three goals at least, we’ve only averaged about two goals per game,” Martin said.
“If you score three or four, you’re a pretty good chance of winning.”
Martin is hoping his side can get on top in the middle and keep up the quick pace that has won it so many games this season.
Magpies also boast plenty of experience with club captain Sarah Knight, Australian country captain Sam Daly and Linda Snell all ones to watch on Sunday.
Falcons’ coach Rod White has blocked out any external pressure his side may face as minor premiers and is eager to see them continue the momentum they’ve been building.
Captain Kate Bardy, new recruit Mikayla Blackshaw and Carly Van Kesteren have all had stellar seasons and have been a big part of Falcons’ success.
“Two full strength teams will make it a pretty interesting game,” White said.
“We’re playing with 12 of our normal squad and fortunately our second grade are on top of the ladder too, so we’ve got capable reserves.
“We’ve also got some younger ones coming through who are progressing quite strongly too.”
The clash commences at 1.30pm at Albury Hockey Centre, while the minor-semi final between Wodonga and Norths starts at 1.45pm, with the loser eliminated.
In the division one men’s competition, table toppers CR United clash with Wodonga in the major semi-final at 3.15pm for a place in the grand final.
Norths and Magpies square off in the elimination final at 3.30pm.
