Cooney, who played 250 games for Western Bulldogs and Essendon, will take part in a Grand Final Front Bar that aims to raise money for the league.
Under Carlton Draught’s Community Cans initiative, the Front Bar will be set up on the side of the field.
Fans can then watch the game with Cooney, who won the AFL’s highest individual honour, the Brownlow medal, in 2008.
Head of classic brands Tim Ovadia said proceeds from every Carlton Draught sold would be donated to the Ovens and Murray Football League.
“Football is a huge part of Australian culture, so it’s important that local leagues and clubs are able to grow and thrive,” Mr Ovadia said.
