Raine claimed the leading umpire award for the second year in a row at the Morris Medal count on Monday night.
AFL North East Border umpire development manager Mark Bywater said Raine thoroughly deserves the opportunity.
“Jason has had a very good season again, he’s probably been the most consistent umpire we’ve had on the panel for the last four years,” Bywater said.
“His composure and decision making are his highlights.”
Raine has umpired 23 Ovens and Murray senior matches this year including the elimination and second semi-final before the grand final, as well as the Ovens and Murray’s interleague clash with Goulburn Valley.
Alongside Raine on the field will be Andrew Bowden and Ashley Broughton.
It will be Broughton’s third Ovens and Murray grand final after also umpiring the decider in 2014 and 2015.
Bowden will make his grand final debut having umpired 100 career matches and 15 Ovens and Murray senior matches in 2017, including the qualifying, first semi and preliminary finals.
Broughton has done 21 senior Ovens and Murray matches this season and also officiated the interleague clash against Goulburn Valley.
The boundary umpires are Nick Bahr, Bayden Darmody, Sam Piazza and Lachlan Pocock, while Jeremey Gardner and Steve Goodwin will look after the goals.
