Finance professor Amalia Di lorio will host the forum at The Cube, focusing on the topics of gender equality and rural leadership.
Former Victorian rural woman of the year winner Alana Johnson, who has worked as a government advisor and in community leadership, will be one of the guests along with Wodonga mayor Anna Speedie andLa Trobe psychology alumni Kate Gordes.
Head of Campus Guinever Threlkeld said assisting young female leaders to achieve their potential was a priority. “We have a safe, supportive environment to enable our young female students to grow and gain the confidence to take on roles which break down stereotypes,” she said.
All money raised from this event will go towards the regional women in leadership bursary to help female La Trobe students who have experienced educational disadvantage and are aspiring to be leaders.
