Rodgers was leading the ITU national under-23 series when a stress fracture in his right tibia brought his season to a sudden end.
For the past 10 months, Rodgers has worked hard on his fitness to ensure he picks up where he left off with his sights set firmly on qualifying for the World Cup.
Rodgers competed in the Albury-Wodonga Triathlon Club's duathlon on Sunday, finishing four minutes clear of the pack.
Promising Jack Grigg will also be racing in the Yarrawonga-Mulwala Multisport Festival this weekend.
It will be Triathlon Victoria Development Program member’s first draft legal race and he’ll be vying for a spot in the School Sports Victoria triathlon team.
"Coming off a solid winter of training it'll be good to see where I'm at," Grigg said.
