The charges stemmed from incidents that occurred in areas around Wodonga, Wangaratta, Sunshine and Learmonth. He was charged with leaving the scene of a car crash where he hit a Chrysler in Wangaratta.
The 33-year-old had also been caught high-range drink driving and burning rubbish during a fire danger period. Magistrate Ian Watkins cancelled the Wodonga man’s licence for three years and fined him $1500.
He was arrested by police officers at the front of the Wodonga courthouse after the Victorian matters were finalised. He had a warrant out for his arrest in NSW.
Adams was taken back into court and was extradited back across the border into Albury for the child pornography allegations. He fronted the NSW court on Wednesday and was formally refused bail. He will return to court on November 7.
Police will allege he had hundreds of child pornography images in his possession. Charges filed allege he possessed child abuse material between 8am on December 1 last year and February 2. The offence is alleged to have occurred in North Albury.
