Support act The Living End got the party started, but with hits like U.S. Forces, Short Memory, Beds Are Burning and Power and the Passion, it was all about the Oils on Friday night.
Their two-hour set had something for everyone, from the bands earlier work to their industrial-influenced later hits.
One of the final legs of the band’s Great Circle Tour, the evening more than lived up to the hype, easily matching the massive turnout fellow Aussie rock icons Cold Chisel pulled back in 2011.
