The Knights will contest the under 21 regional decider against Barwon in Melbourne on December 10.
Lavington’s Matt Tom starred in Sunday’s semi-final win over Mallee-Murray in Koondrook.
Fresh from his 99 the previous week, Lavington’s Matt Tom posted his first senior ton with a superb 106.
“It’s probably the best form in my career, probably the most consistent,” he said.
Mallee made 8-177, with Yarrawonga Mulwala’s Jim Irvine taking 2-30, while New City’s Saif Zaib captured 2-34.
The Knights responded with 4-243.
St Patrick’s Matt Crawshaw captained the team superbly with 54, while Yarrawonga’s Matt Casey continued his blistering form with 50.
Casey already has two club tons this season.
It’s probably the best form in my career, probably the most consistent.
- Matt Tom
“They started really well and we pulled them back in the field with some really good bowling,” Tom said.
“We kept them down to a score which was probably a bit under-par and then we batted really well.”
Barwon has won the past two titles, but the Knights have restricted teams to under 180 in successive weeks.
