That happened when police went to arrest Cheryl Louise Scarcella outside the block of units in Thurgoona Street.
Albury Local Court heard this week how Scarcella, 45, had previously been dealt with on matters including damaging property and resisting police.
On one occasion, she made a series of crank calls to Triple-0, claiming that “someone was going to kill her” and “that she had a knife to her throat”.
The latest incident, which happened earlier this month, resulted in Scarcella pleading guilty to destroy or damage property and resist police in execution of their duty.
Magistrate Tony Murray was told how Scarcella and the victim lived in the same block of units.
Scarcella was in a ground-floor flat and the victim on the third floor.
Police said the victim owned a silver LG television, which she placed outside her front door in September. The sound didn’t work, but the television was otherwise fine.
She did this because she had arranged for the maintenance person for the building to collect the television for repairs.
It was on November 4 about 8am that the victim saw her undamaged television still sitting outside.
But about 3pm she was inside her unit when heard a loud smashing sound coming from outside the front door.
When she opened her door she saw Scarcella walking down the stairwell.
“There was smashed glass everywhere from the top of the landing to where the TV was now resting,” police said.
The victim asked Scarcella why she had smashed her TV, “but the accused did not respond and continued walking down the stairs”.
Police arrived soon after and found Scarcella out the front of the units.
“She was well-affected by alcohol, she smelt of alcohol, was unsteady on her feet, slurring her words and was frothing at the mouth,” police said.
Scarcella will be sentenced on December 12.
