Malt Shed Brewery is located in the heart of Wangaratta.

Inspired by a passion for all things malt, Mathew Saunders, Grant Jones and Andrew Bett decided to combine their knowledge to create a home for craft beer in the city.

They brew a broad range of styles which follow the mantra that the best beers are those that are balanced. Visitors to the Great Australian Beer Festival Albury on Saturday, December 2, will be able to taste their brews.

As a brewer, Grant says he loves to bring flavours together in a way that allowed drinkers to share in his passion for beer. Sharing their knowledge is a central part of the Malt Shed.

The men also love teaching people how their beer is made, their ingredient selection and why they do what they do.

“Our beers are inspired by our community and our life adventures,” Grant said.

“Wangaratta, like many towns, has a long history of brewing and we’re proud to bring local beer back to Wang.

“We brew balanced beers using the best ingredients available to showcase all the flavours malt gives to beer.

"We make beer that everyone can have a good time enjoying, particularly down at the Malt Shed.

They said craft beer was about sharing and bringing people together.

“The Malt Shed is our way of bringing something new and exciting to Wangaratta,” Matt said. “It’s important for us to give our community and customers a place to have fun enjoying our beer.”
