With 9962 people attending last year’s inaugural matches at Lavington Sportsground, Erdeljac is hoping for another big turnout for the Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder clash.
“I have no idea (about the crowd),” Erdeljac said.
“It’s Albury-Wodonga.
“Last year we had 3300 pre-sold tickets and had 9000 people here.
“About 5500 people bought their tickets at the gate.
“That’s the way we tend to do things in Albury-Wodonga.
“Hopefully there is a really good turnout because the ground looks great, the weather is going to be perfect and there are some fantastic players coming to town.”
Melbourne Stars women’s side trained on the ground on Monday morning and were impressed with the look of the couch wicket.
“The weather has been a blessing after the rain last weekend and it looks like it will shape up alright,” curator Heath Naughton said.
“A lot of work has gone into it from people like Wally Shannon and Mick Brown.”
