Plain-clothed officers spotted the wanted man driving a Holden Commodore in Wagga on Wednesday morning.
They tried to intercept the vehicle but the man got out and jumped over several fences, before being tackled by police and arrested.
He was assisting police with their enquiries on Wednesday afternoon.
Police from Albury, Wodonga and Wagga joined forces for Operation Kingsmen after a major crime spree between the cities.
Cars have been stolen and torched and homes and businesses broken into.
A 19-year-old was arrested on December 5.
The investigation is ongoing.
