The club is now in its third season and has never beaten the Wanderers.
It suffered a 116-run demolition in round four.
“They’ve got some decent bats,” Mitch Purcell said.
“They’re strong, they always have been when we played them.”
Brenton Surrey struck 63 in the home team’s total of 9-205.
In reply, Delatite was skittled for just 89 off a painfully slow 49.5 overs.
Beechworth has the five wins and only one loss to hold down second spot, behind Yarrawonga Mulwala (6-1).
Less than three points separates the top two but, even if the Wanderers inflict a heavy defeat on Delatite, it will take a mighty effort to jump into top spot as Yarrawonga plays the winless Ovens Valley United.
Yarrawonga won the 2015-16 premiership, but then fell to Beechworth in last year’s preliminary final.
Ovens Valley will be hoping its home ground can prove an advantage, but it will be difficult, given the visitors have only lost one game.
Elsewhere, Greta will be looking for an upset against Rovers United Bruck to cement its spot in the top six.
It’s two wins clear of seventh-placed Benalla Bushrangers.
And City Colts are home to Wangaratta.
Colts share the same record as Beechworth, while the Magpies are last, without a win.
The Magpies main hope could rest on Colts’ lack of match practice.
Colts haven’t played for a month, due to the round eight bye prior to Christmas.
Colts pushed the 200-run mark, with number five Adam Crossman blasting 59 against Ovens Valley.
